what is a coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and bird.

We had got many coronaviruses in past which had caused different different diseases in past. This time the coronavirus which has came its name is covid-19. I hope you are aware about the whole story of the nomenclature of the name of the virus. But still let me tell about the nomenclature. 

The name of this coronavirus  is severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) . And the disease which is caused by the virus is covid-19. Covid-19 as co means corona vi means virus d means disease and 19 because the virus has came in origin in 2019.
